    Assalam readers.. 1st thing 1st, I'm really sorry for my absence from blogging.. Got idea block if you know what I mean.. (Yea right.. procrastination is all.. =.=||)

    Anyhow, for today's blog, the topic is as below..

What if.. Malaysian Comic to Movie?

Yep.. a first What If section of the blog..

  As you all know, Malaysian Film Industry had produce a so called amazing movie ( not that I watched it) as of late, Ombak Rindu. Taken from a novel by Fauziah Ashari..

  Well, these trend of turning a novel into a motion picture has been on for quite a while.. Film such as Harry Potter, LoTR, Narnia was adapted from novel written by amazing authors.. (At this point some of you may thought of Twillight.. Please take that piece of Shit off your mind.. Cause It Is Shit)

  Getting back to the real topic here, comic to movie.. Spiderman, Hulk and the upcoming Avengers is taken from comic.. In Japan, these thing is not a strange thing.. Lotsa awesome manga are made into movies.. Both in live action form and animated form.. So it got me thinking see? What if Malaysia did the same thing? Which comic will they choose?

  Personally I don't really have much faith in the Malaysian Film Industry.. We are really behind especially in the CG department.. Although, I'm quite impressed with KRU's Hikayat Merong Mahawangsa CG.. Kinda good.. If they improved a bit from there, I'm sure they can carry this comic to movie thing..

  The big question is..

           WHICH COMIC IS GOOD TO MAKE INTO A MOVIE?

  Well it has to be a Malaysian comic.. And Malaysia have done quite good in that department.. There's quite a number of comic publishers these days.. Such as Gempak Starz and Ujang.. I dunno bout other comic publishers but I'm pretty sure Gempak Starz got a hell lotsa awesome material for starting a movie..

  Regarding this matter, I've came up with a list of my top 5 comics that would be awesome to turn into a movie.. Of course they are from Gempak Starz..

Long story short, in some culture, when the 13th day falls on a Friday, it is bad luck..


How it all began?

According to folklorists, there is no written evidence for a "Friday the 13th" superstition before the 19th century. The earliest known documented reference in English occurs in Henry Sutherland Edward' 1869 biography of Gioachino Rossini:

Rossini was surrounded to the last by admiring and affectionate friends; Why Friday the 13th Is Unlucky

Consequently, several theories have been proposed about the origin of the Friday the 13th superstition.

One theory states that it is a modern amalgamation of two older superstitions: that thirteen is an unlucky number and that Friday is an unlucky day.

• In numerology, the number twelve is considered the number of completeness, as reflected in the twelve months of the year, twelve hours of the clock, twelve gods of Olympus, twelve tribes of Israel, twelve Apostles of Jesus, the 12 Descendants of Muhammad Imams, etc., whereas the number thirteen was considered irregular, transgressing this completeness. There is also a superstition, thought by some to derive from the Last Supper or a Norse myth, that having thirteen people seated at a table will result in the death of one of the diners.
• Friday has been considered an unlucky day at least since the 14th century's The Canterbury Tales, and many other professions have regarded Friday as an unlucky day to undertake journeys or begin new projects. Black Friday has been associated with stock market crashes and other disasters since the 1800s. It has also been suggested that Friday has been considered an unlucky day because, according to Christian scripture and tradition, Jesus was crucified on a Friday.
• One author, noting that references are all but nonexistent before 1907 but frequently seen thereafter, has argued that its popularity derives from the publication that year of Thomas W. Lawson's popular novel Friday, the Thirteenth, in which an unscrupulous broker takes advantage of the superstition to create a Wall Street panic on a Friday the 13th.Records of the superstition are rarely found before the 20th century, when it became extremely common.

The connection between the Friday the 13th superstition and the Knights Templar was popularized in the 2003 novel The Da Vinci Code. However, experts agree that this is a relatively recent correlation, and most likely a modern-day invention. Although according to many Freemasons, this date corresponds with the slaughtering of the Knights Templar by the Church. Many Knights Templar also escaped their persecution by fleeing to Scotland. (Wikipedia,2012)

BUT~~~

Here's the thing, Friday was never unlucky.. Well there we're no such thing as an unlucky day to begin with.. In Islam, Friday is the day of assembly, the day when we do the Friday prayer and it is the leader of all the days ( Penghulu segala hari ).

So, don't be fooled my dear Padawan, for Friday the 13th is merely a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury. Signifying nothing.. :D

Last week I just got my first android phone.. Samsung Galaxy mini GT-S5570

Looks like this.. black and metallic orange at the side..

Quite cool I guess.. Its quite hard to use for someone who had been using normal "keypadded" phone.. Felt kinda troublesome when typing message.. Needs both hands if you know what I mean.. LOL

Anyway, I reckon that most of you guys know what's an Android Market is.. but I just found out bout it few days back.. 

Android Market is a web which enables you to download and install apps on your android phone.. Some are free and some are not..

Procrastination yet again.. END OF HOLS..

Okay.. I've been meaning to update my blog for a while now.. But.. I keep procrastinating it.

Seriously..

Anyways, this is the last week of my 2nd sem holiday.. This coming Monday, the 3rd chapter of my diploma study will start.. Truth be told, I'm kinda not ready to start studying again.. Hope I can turn this feeling around by this Sunday..

1st thing 1st, I wanna congratulate all my friends who passed their 2nd sem Final exam.. For those who did not..  I know how you feel, but keep your head up, face forward.. Learn from this failure.. And keep moving towards the future..

As for myself, I broke through the 2nd hurdle.. With a kinda satisfying CGPA.. Although it dropped a bit when compared to my last CGPA..

Although, I kinda feel a bit down by the fact that I got a B for my AGR154 Plant Pathology.. But it was kinda called for..

This war ain't over yet for me.. I'll keep true to my goal.. I'll redeem my honor for failing Matriculatiion.. I'll bring back the glory that was once mine..

Onwards to the next semester..

Anyways, Tomorrow (Friday) is gonna be givin' a hell lotsa stress to me.. And maybe to all the Diploma students in UiTM.. And this is because?

IT IS WHEN THE FINAL EXAM RESULTS GONNA BE ANNOUNCED!!!!

Yep! that's right folks.. Its kinda stressing me out b'cause I kinda did poorly on this 2 subjects during the final exams.. You can say I get over confident when comes down to it.. Haha

Well, let me grab this opportunity to wish all the best to my friends out there who, like me, will be getting their results tomorrow..

I've been on my semester holiday for almost 2 weeks now.. And well, just like my previous post about my holidays.. I got a mission..

This time.. Guitar..

Yep.. The one with the 6 strings..

Well mostly influenced by my friends back in UiTM, but really I was inspired by this group of instrumental guitarist called Depapepe..

Awesome guitar playin' I tell ya..

Anyhow,
