Korban for Aidil Adha

Falls on 10th of Zulhijjah (which is last wednesday) every year is Hari Raya Aidil Adha. This is celebrated to commemorate the willingness of Nabi Ibrahim a.s to sacrifice his own son, Nabi Ismail a.s, as an act of obedience to Allah s.w.t, before HE intervene and replace Nabi Ismail with a kibas (ram of some sort).


Anyway, last Friday, a korban was done by my father's family and the meat was prepared to be portioned at my late grandparents house. Well since the innards and some part of the edible meats cannot be used as sedekah, we barbecued them instead. LoL.

I went there a bit late, so missed the process of "meating" this cow.. but I did took some pictures of it.. be warned that its not for the faint hearted, vegetarians and cow loving people..


Skinned cows head.. the cheek meat, tounge and brained had been taken out..

Cows legs and tail.. Seems like the hinds had been "taken cared" of...
