I'm on a sem break so might as well go.. Right?

The main reason to go was to enter a SSF4ae tournament.. BUT! was fraked up by the management.. They only di UMVC3.. Which a game I really don't know how to play.. Seriously disappointed, I was..

But, in the end, I was able to play SSF4ae thanks to my friend's disk which he asked me to buy..

Although it is just an exhibition play.. (King of the hill) I've learned a lot..

For more pictures of magacon day 1 and 2 and other stuff, visit their website here >>

or their facebook page here >>

That's all for now.. Gonna get back to my sleep.. HAHA!! 3 straight days of serious outing.. Tired as frak!!

Reasons to buy a PS3

1 of the many ways to describe me is - Video Game Enthusiast.. (Yes, I know it is self-proclaim) I've been into video gaming since as long as I can remember, starting from that brick game, SNES, GameBoy Color, PSX, PS1, PS2 and now a PS3..
Well, lotsa people keep asking me why I wanna buy a PS3, so here's my reasons.. I put it in 5 categories for easier reading..

1. Games

  • Most of the games that I want to play is on the PS3 platform. Those like God of War III, Final Fantasy 13 and 13-2
  • The games are much more High Def (I think) than other games, although its rival, the Xbox 360 and Nintedo Wii has their own merits on game graphics.. Personally, I liked PS3's graphic better..

Final Fantasy XII: bought from my friend months before owning a PS3

2. Price
  • Console is much cheaper compared to Xbox and Nintedo Wii..
  • Price of games are a bit expensive.. Although there are jailbreaked PS3 which allows you to play downloaded games.. but hey.. I wanna play online.. and I can't play em with those kind o PS3..
3. Designs
  • Mainly the console's design.. PS3 looks very slick and elegant.. Both Wii and Xbox360 looks kinda off for some reasons..
  • Also since I played since the PSX, I'm kinda more confortable with the Playstations' controller compared to Xbox360.. Although, a point on Xbox360 controller.. They feel kinda good when I played SSF4ae with it.. Lol..
4. Multimedia features
  • I don't really use this much but from what I read, PS3 has much better multimedia as in non-gaming features compared to the Xbox360..
  • here's the extract on this part, ( )
    • > Non-gaming Features
      > The PS3 can show pictures, play videos, and > So does the Xbox 360, but only the PS3 will > allow you to stream it to your PlayStation > Portable, remotely.
As a PS3 and PSP owner I can tell you, Remote Play sucks. It doesn’t work as advertised and has wasted countless hours of people trying to get it to work properly.
      > This means you can access your media,
      > including Blu-ray discs, on the road using > your PSP
No, no it doesn’t. Blu-Ray is not supported under Remote Play. Even if/when it does work you cannot access Blu-Ray or DVD media.
      > The PS3 also supports Linux as an
      > additional operating system, allowing it to > be used for a variety of non-gaming
      > purposes.
Which runs at 1/2 the speed as a PC running Linux because of the PS3 RAM bottleneck.

5. Online system
  • Free and easy.. But in Malaysia, it's damn hard to find people playing online.. especially SSF4ae.. I have to settle playing china and japan.. And damn did it lag..
Anyway.. This is my top reason's for owning a PS3..

Hope it interests you to get 1.. and if you're playing SSF4ae, do add me on PSN.. My ID is lebotz..

Over and out..

Finally!! Its gaming time!!

It's been ages since my last post.. Been pretty busy with assignments and tests, and now I'm free fr 1 months.. Sem break bebeh!!

Just bought it.. yay!! :D
Jz bought a PS3 and a HORI arcade stick fr playing ssf4ae.. Cost around rm1600.. Dang.. Nw I'm officially broke.. But none the less, I am proud to be a broke PS3 owner.. Games? no I didn't buy any games.. Yep.. The store owner was in shock too when I said I'm not buying any games.. Reason? I bought it already from my friend.. Final fantasy 13.. What can I say? I'm a Final Fantasy fan.. Always am, always will be..

Here's some pics of what I bought.. ( Not much.. Only these 2 babeh..)

HORI Real Arcade Pro 3
My bebeh.. 320gb PS3
Now where's that controller.. FF13 is calling me name..

P/S: I'll be commenting on the HORI Real Arcade Pro 3 soon.. I wanna have a good feel of it first before writing any comments about it..

Digimon on Android

Salam people.. How's Ramadhan treating ya?

Do you remember those days when there use to be Digimon craze going on.. I know I do.. Bringing them Digivice to school, hanging 'em at your waist like a true DigiDestinied.. Aah.. Those were the times..

Anyways I was checking around the web yesterday and I stumbled upon this great app..

An app which enables you to play the old Tamagotchi Digimon- Vpet by icebahamut..

It's surprisingly not heavy.. About 300kb..

The best part of this app is that you can rear up to 4 digimon and made them battle each other.. Which makes it easier to go ultimate..

Reminiscing 'bout the past, I used to bring this thing to school and play with my friends.. I remember I got my first V1 from my dad as a present after I was discharge from the hospital.. I lost it after my friend tried to custom it making the background to white instead of mountain field.. Damn it..

Anyhow, if you're a huge fan of digimon or maybe just want to relive the fun of the late 20th century I would really recommend you to get this app..

Over and out.. :D

My rant at 5AM

Yo wuddup readers, how're y'all doin? good? nice

Much has happened within these 2 months of holiday, mostly revolved around Ragnarok Online.. Aside from that, well, I'm as of now really into chess..

Today I feel like ranting on the habits of today's society. Do take note that I'm doin this so that we can reflect on these things and try to change them. So these are my top 3 common social habits from my observations.

Habit #3:
- We tend to feel really awkward to those who speak English or any other foreign language. Most of the time it'll end up something like, "Asal cakap bhase penjajah?" or "Cakap inggeris pon cam bodo, ngade2 nk cakap inggeris.". What's up with you people and other language? Just because you can't understand what they are saying doesn't mean you have to hate them to the very core. Instead of taking all your time hating, isn't it wiser to spend it learning the language? Learning a new language is never a waste. Try to speak them, it doesn't matter if you speak like a toddler as long as you have the guts, no one can say anything. But after you learned the correct thing try to practice the correct pronounce / verb / or whatever. As they say, practice makes perfect.

Habit #2:
- We tend to belittle ourselves. I don't know why but most of the time we tend have low self confidence. We tend to not trust in our own ability and just blindly follow other people. True, some have to be the leader and some have to be the follower. But until when must we follow people blindly and hide behind their back without even trying to rise up? But do keep in mind, if you want to rise up, do it the right way. In addition,  we tend to see other people's success as a little prick ( mainly students ). True, some of your friend's success is way beyond your reach, but don't just say, " die pandai, mak ayah CEO, x hairan la result power." or my personal fav, "ko pandai, genius, aku syukur je at least x fail.". Try to learn from them and show that you to can be a successful person.

Habit #1
- We tend to jump into conclusion insanely quick. To make things worse the conclusion is always negative. This is true especially when it revolves around people we know. This is, I think, the root cause of all misunderstandings. Plus, because of these people tend to perceive things very passively. Example, when eating at a buffet, you are supposed to take bits of this and bits of that, and you are eligible to eat as many times as you want, BUT because we are to ashamed of what people might think you tend to take a whole chunks of food on a small plate so that we don't have to get up and take the food again. GEEZ!!

There art to be more but I think these 3 is kinda most important from what I observed.. Yes, I may have not  made enough observation but who has the time right?

What I said above, I too made them, but little by little we ought to change how we perceive things.

That's all for now..

3rd Hurdle Passed.. Wait what?

Assalam to the readers and may thee be blessed with Allah's light..

It's been about 5 months since my last post.. yup.. and you know why I didn't post anything for the last 5 months? PRO-wait for it-CRASTINATION!!!!

Indeed.. Much has passed since my last post.. I've undergone a series of pain and suffering.. Especially on the academic part but Alhamdulillah, by Allah's will, I've passed it with flying colors.

But my plan to go for Fast track to degree had to be stop 'cause UiTM doesn't provide the fast track service anymore.. What a bummer..

Seriously.. I've been suffering too long and hard for this thing and when the time comes they decided to just not provide it anymore.. Talk bout trolling..

Anyhow.. for now I just do my best for these coming semesters and for all I know things might turn out good.. LOL..

Like they say, " Good things come to those who wait"

What if.. Malaysian Comic to Movie?

Assalam readers.. 1st thing 1st, I'm really sorry for my absence from blogging.. Got idea block if you know what I mean.. (Yea right.. procrastination is all.. =.=||)

Anyhow, for today's blog, the topic is as below..

What if.. Malaysian Comic to Movie?

Yep.. a first What If section of the blog..

As you all know, Malaysian Film Industry had produce a so called amazing movie ( not that I watched it) as of late, Ombak Rindu. Taken from a novel by Fauziah Ashari..

Well, these trend of turning a novel into a motion picture has been on for quite a while.. Film such as Harry Potter, LoTR, Narnia was adapted from novel written by amazing authors.. (At this point some of you may thought of Twillight.. Please take that piece of Shit off your mind.. Cause It Is Shit)

Getting back to the real topic here, comic to movie.. Spiderman, Hulk and the upcoming Avengers is taken from comic.. In Japan, these thing is not a strange thing.. Lotsa awesome manga are made into movies.. Both in live action form and animated form.. So it got me thinking see? What if Malaysia did the same thing? Which comic will they choose?

Personally I don't really have much faith in the Malaysian Film Industry.. We are really behind especially in the CG department.. Although, I'm quite impressed with KRU's Hikayat Merong Mahawangsa CG.. Kinda good.. If they improved a bit from there, I'm sure they can carry this comic to movie thing..

  The big question is..

Well it has to be a Malaysian comic.. And Malaysia have done quite good in that department.. There's quite a number of comic publishers these days.. Such as Gempak Starz and Ujang.. I dunno bout other comic publishers but I'm pretty sure Gempak Starz got a hell lotsa awesome material for starting a movie..

Regarding this matter, I've came up with a list of my top 5 comics that would be awesome to turn into a movie.. Of course they are from Gempak Starz..

  1. Le Gardenie by Ben
  2. Under 18 by Zint
  3. The Fishes by Ben
  4. Dari Alam Angker by Puyoh
  5. Helios Eclipse by Kaoru
Le Gardenie by Ben
Under 18 by Zint

The Fishes by Ben

Dari Alam Angker by Puyoh

Helios Eclipse by Kaoru

To sum things up, well, It's not a bad idea if  Malaysia were to make movies out of these.. Besides, these are made by Malaysians for Malaysians rite?

Well that's all for this post..

1st entry of 2012!! Friday The 13th

Assalamualaikum and Happy New Year Folks!!

I know I've been practically neglecting this blog.. I am sorry..

Anyhow, for this 1st entry of 2012, I would like to talk bout...

Dum da da duummm~~

FRIDAY THE 13th!!!

Long story short, in some culture, when the 13th day falls on a Friday, it is bad luck..

How it all began?

According to folklorists, there is no written evidence for a "Friday the 13th" superstition before the 19th century. The earliest known documented reference in English occurs in Henry Sutherland Edward' 1869 biography of Gioachino Rossini:
Rossini was surrounded to the last by admiring and affectionate friends; Why Friday the 13th Is Unlucky
Consequently, several theories have been proposed about the origin of the Friday the 13th superstition.
One theory states that it is a modern amalgamation of two older superstitions: that thirteen is an unlucky number and that Friday is an unlucky day.
  • In numerology, the number twelve is considered the number of completeness, as reflected in the twelve months of the year, twelve hours of the clock, twelve gods of Olympus, twelve tribes of Israel, twelve Apostles of Jesus, the 12 Descendants of Muhammad Imams, etc., whereas the number thirteen was considered irregular, transgressing this completeness. There is also a superstition, thought by some to derive from the Last Supper or a Norse myth, that having thirteen people seated at a table will result in the death of one of the diners.
  • Friday has been considered an unlucky day at least since the 14th century's The Canterbury Tales, and many other professions have regarded Friday as an unlucky day to undertake journeys or begin new projects. Black Friday has been associated with stock market crashes and other disasters since the 1800s. It has also been suggested that Friday has been considered an unlucky day because, according to Christian scripture and tradition, Jesus was crucified on a Friday.
  • One author, noting that references are all but nonexistent before 1907 but frequently seen thereafter, has argued that its popularity derives from the publication that year of Thomas W. Lawson's popular novel Friday, the Thirteenth, in which an unscrupulous broker takes advantage of the superstition to create a Wall Street panic on a Friday the 13th.Records of the superstition are rarely found before the 20th century, when it became extremely common.
The connection between the Friday the 13th superstition and the Knights Templar was popularized in the 2003 novel The Da Vinci Code. However, experts agree that this is a relatively recent correlation, and most likely a modern-day invention. Although according to many Freemasons, this date corresponds with the slaughtering of the Knights Templar by the Church. Many Knights Templar also escaped their persecution by fleeing to Scotland. (Wikipedia,2012)

Here's the thing, Friday was never unlucky.. Well there we're no such thing as an unlucky day to begin with.. In Islam, Friday is the day of assembly, the day when we do the Friday prayer and it is the leader of all the days ( Penghulu segala hari ).

So, don't be fooled my dear Padawan, for Friday the 13th is merely a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury. Signifying nothing.. :D

**Unless it is Jason Voorhees.. If that happens.. RUN!! RUN!! AND DON'T LOOK BACK!!!
